We as an organization take no fees, we just match you directly with the family and you send them the money.

Who is behind the 1K Project?

The $1K Project for Ukraine is powered by a group of over 80 volunteers. The 1K Project was founded by tech entrepreneur and investor - Alex Iskold who was born in Ukraine. We are plugged into people on the ground in Ukraine and have a vast referral network. We prioritize funding for single moms and families with multiple children. The 1K Project has been featured on CNN, Techcrunch, Axios, Business Insider, CNBC and Bloomberg.

Originally, Alex created http://1kproject.org to help families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The original $1K Project raised over $3M and was covered in NYTimes, Forbes, and other top publications. Once the conflict in Ukraine escalated, Alex re-launched the project with the sole focus of helping Ukrainian families.
