Introduction to The Diaspora Organization Trainings Trove (DOTT)

The Diaspora Organization Trainings Trove (DOTT) is an innovative, interactive resource designed to empower diaspora organizations worldwide in achieving their goals and maximizing impact. Built with insights from diaspora communities and key stakeholders, DOTT addresses the specific capacity-building needs of these organizations, widely recognized as transformative agents driving social, economic, environmental and political progress. Acknowledging their critical roles in humanitarian efforts, development and peacebuilding, DOTT equips diaspora organizations with practical tools, self-assessment resources, templates and inspiring success stories that showcase their contributions as catalysts for positive change.

Structured into four essential modules, DOTT offers comprehensive support in key areas: Organization Development provides foundational guidance; Project Management and Diaspora Intervention Areas delivers tools for executing high-impact projects; Sustainable Finances introduces strategies for long-term financial stability and effective fundraising; and Networking, Communications and Partnerships enhances visibility, outreach and collaboration. Each module connects users to current, in-depth training resources for continued growth and practical application. By fostering organizational effectiveness, financial sustainability and strategic outreach, DOTT serves as a transformative resource that strengthens the capacity of diaspora organizations to meet urgent needs and champion sustainable development in both their countries of residence and origin.

This session will focus on Organizational Development and Diaspora Networking, Communications and Partnerships.
